HappyPlace.com posted a blog post called, “People Text Parents and Act Like Drug Dealers” in which they showed comedian Nathan Fielder‘s Tweet that said: “Experiment: text your parents “got 2 grams for $40″ then right after “Sorry ignore that txt. Not for you” Then tweet pic of their response.”
Thinking that it was rather hilarious, and seeing that over 3,000 people retweeted it (which in Internet terms means that it HAS to be an awesome idea), I texted this to my mom.
What a huge mistake.
Yeah. Thanks Nathan.
My mom later told me that her first thought was, “Omg, what am I going to do about Willow? Maybe I should call Children’s Aid.” She’s calmed down now and told me to never do an Internet “mee-mee” (bahaha) on her ever again.
Lesson learned? Don’t try to pull an Internet meme on your mom. Especially about drugs. It’s a terrible idea.
